Day 1: Safari Blue Experience
Your day begins with a transfer from Stone Town to Fumba Village, a small fishing community just 30 minutes away. Fumba is the perfect starting point to explore Menai Bay, a conservation area known for its pristine sandbanks, small islands, and coral reefs.
From Fumba, you’ll board a traditional Zanzibari dhow (8–10m in length) and sail into the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.
Your first stop will be one of the white sandbanks, where you can swim, snorkel, or simply relax.
After snorkeling, the dhow continues to Kwale Island, where a delicious seafood buffet awaits. The menu includes fresh fish, chicken, rice, tamarind sauces, and tropical fruits (10–15 varieties), along with sodas, mineral water, beer, coffee, and Zanzibari sweets.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit a mangrove lagoon, a natural swimming pool where you can float among the mangrove roots—a unique experience that feels like swimming in nature’s secret spa.
At the end of the day, your dhow sets sail back to Fumba Village, where your driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
Note: No formal changing facilities are available at Fumba. Please wear swimwear under your clothes. Toilets are available only on Kwale Island. Bring towels, sunscreen, and a spare T-shirt for snorkeling.
